A few interesting quotes from the book Women of the Old Testament.
Rebekah's characteristics noted by the servant are therefore meaningful to men and women who consider themselves part of "the Church." Like Rebekah, a true follower of Christ is willing to serve without being asked, responding to others' needs without hesitation. Single-handedly watering ten camels could symbolize God-given assignments that are beyond our natural ability to perform. Yet Rebekah completed the task without hesitation, a witness that the church and its members can accomplish whatever God requires by the enabling power of Christ. The Savior's Atonement gives us strength and wisdom to succeed in ways that exceed our imagination and clearly go beyond anything we can do alone. Next, a true disciple is virtuous and obedient to the Father's servants, as Rebekah sincerely exemplified to Abraham's servant. Finally, a sincere Christian is worthy and desirous to become part of the covenant family and live as a witness for Christ.
Women of the Old Testament Olson 56-57
"Rebekah's pitcher would likely have held at most five gallons of water. That being the case, she would have carried her jar more than fifty times" to water the ten camels.
(Olson 51)
Rebekah "I will go."
