Furniture Polish-
1/4 cup of lemon juice and 1/2 cup of olive oil. This will clean all wood surfaces and leave a fresh lemony scent in the air.
Window / Glass Cleaner
You can use 1/2 cup of vinegar with one gallon of water, put it in a spray bottle and use an old clean lint free rag to wipe down those dirty windows or mirrors. If you don't like the vinegar smell, then just try regular lemon juice without any water.
All purpose disinfectant cleaner
Mix a 1/2 teaspoon of natural soap, 2 cups of hot water, 1 teaspoon of tea tree oil. This is a very safe disinfectant that you can use almost anywhere, except on glass, the oil will make smears on it and it is difficult to get off.
Carpet cleaning
For carpet stains use 3 parts club soda to one part hot water. For carpet odors sprinkle around some baking soda, maybe add some dried crushed up lavender to it and wait for approximately 30 minutes before vacuuming. The baking soda will absorb the odors and the light lavender scent will remain.
For toilets
Use baking soda, just sprinkle some inside the toilet, getting it on the sides as well and let sit about 20 minutes. Come back with your toilet brush and give it a good scrub.
