Hand Octopus
What You Need:
* Paper
* Googly Eyes
* Finger Paints
What You Do:
* Let the kids put finger paint all over their hands (in any combination that they wish) then have them put a hand print on the paper. Next have them put another hand print overlapping the last but pointing in the opposite direction. The base of the hand creates the body of the octopus. The fingers make the tentacles.

Ocean Diving
Charlie Over the Ocean (Sing to the tune of my Bonnie lies over the ocean)
Put together some pictures of objects (Ocean themed if you like) some that start with O some that do not
Octopus - Owl - oval - orange - octagon - Fish - Shark - Sea weed - Coral
http://www.first-school.ws/theme/animals/cp_ocean.htm#alphabet
Put all of the items under a sheet so the kids can go fishing under the ocean. Sing the song using a child's name while making waves with the sheet at the end of the song have the child pick an object.
(Child's Name) over the ocean, (Child's Name) over the sea.
(Child's Name) over the ocean, find an object for me.
Then the child chooses an object. And the class responds
"Yes _______ start with O". OR "No _______ starts with ___".

Shark eats the fish
Using the sheet you already have set up for the above game you can sing the song Five Little Fishies in the Sea. You can put the fish on the sheet and toss them off with the waves or you can put them under the sheet and choose a child to be the shark and grab a fish. You could extend this to outside and make it a game of tag "it" would be the shark and the rest of the class would be the fish.

Octopus Tentacle Match
