Preschool Letter L

Our preschool began with the letter L

A note about letter themes and handwriting...
If your kids are learning how to write the letter themes will work really well together so they can use strokes they already know to build on. If you would like a good workbook for handwriting I recommend Handwriting Without Tears. The preschool book has pictures that go with the letters and a couple letters for kids to write. You can do more with on-line handwriting sheets or less by just letting your kids color the handwriting pages. It depends on where your child is at in their writing.

You may want to get a small slate to demonstrate how to write the letters. Play dough letters are also helpful.

You'll find lessons for the letters we've completed under preschool in the topics section to the left

During circle time we sing the alphabet.
Learning to write each letter based on it's shape makes writing easier.
Learning to say them alphabetically is easy with the alphabet song.
Both together make a developmentally appropriate learning environment.
